What to See

The most iconic place in Cartagena is that of Old Town Square, here is where you will find the most picturesque buildings and all kinds of historic sights.

THE OLD TOWN SQUARE MUST SEE

  • San Peter Claver.

  • Bolivar square

  • Customs square or Aduana square.

  • Saint dominic or Santodomingo square.

  • San Diego square

  • The clock tower.

  • Centennial park.

  • The cathedral

  • Fernandez Madrid square.

What to Do

There is more than just the Old Town to Cartagena, here are some of our favorite things to do in this city.

CARTAGENA BAY : Between Bocagrande and castillo Grande Neighborhood ( amazing sightseeing around Cartagena).

ROSARIO ISLAND: the big archipelago around 28 small islands take a boat or ship in bodeguita pier between 50 minutes to one hour to Cartagena.

THE AVIARY: BARU ISLAND, great experience many type of birds.

Where to Eat

Food, food, and more food. This city has no shortage of delicious cuisine.

  • Socorro Kitchen ( close the convention center): Traditional Colombian cuisine

  • Socorro House ( large Street in getsemani ): traditional Colombian cuisine

  • Juan del mar ( san diego square) : Incredible Sea food

  • La vitrola ( Baloco Street): The Old City’s best restaurant

  • La olla cartagenera ( bocagrande neighborhood, in san martin avenue). A great neighborhood with lots of activites!

  • Cuzco: delicious Peruvian food in Santo Domingo Square (there are lots of restaurants here but this is great)

  • Pris pri : a great spot for breakfast
