Head down to the West Village for a Boozy Brunch with a Southwest flair.  Agave, located on 7th Avenue South at 10th Street, has a traditional brunch with a Tex-Mex twist and a two-hour bottomless deal on margaritas, mimosas and wine when ordering off their Prix Fixe Brunch Menu.

But before we brunch, let's talk guac.  It is very, very good here with big chunks of avocado, a little garlic, lime and red onion, served with blue corn tortillas chips.  It is a perfect brunch appetizer, lining the stomach for the bottomless booze to come.

Some of the tastier brunch items include the Southwest Eggs Benedict, a traditional benedict but with avocado and tomato instead of meat and a little chipotle kick to the hollandaise.  The Huevos Rancheros are tasty, with beans and pork chili layered onto a blue corn tortilla and topped with a fried egg and sour cream.  The Southwestern Burrito is stuffed to the brim with avocado, eggs, chorizo, potatoes, and peppers, then smothered in queso and sour cream.

No live tunes here but their stereo plays some decent tunes to brunch by.  Any place that plays "Come on Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners is okay by us.  You will want to make a brunch rez for this hot spot. As the afternoon progresses the wait is longer and the bar more crowded.
