Osprey Tavern // Baldwin Park, Orlando FL

The doors open to a well lit, natural setting filled with dark oak counters, airplanes and a decor only found on Pinterest against white walls with gold trim. The first thing on the menu to catch my eye is the pastry trolley (I'm a sucker for some pastries). The most gorgeous cart filled with bagels, muffins, macaroons, and mini cobbler, rounds the corner and I know I'm in heaven.

This is a great way to start a brunch, with delicious, warm, mini treats easy to share that are made by the in-house pastry chef.  For $5 it was worth every penny. I would go back for the everything bagel ball, stuffed full of onion and chive cream cheese, the perfect salty snack. Because who needs bloody Mary's, when you can indulge in bagel heaven. Add a bottomless mimosa for $15 to the table and we are ready to party.

For the main event, two of us ordered two different types of Benedict's: crab cake and traditional. The crab cake did not impress with a little too much lemon zest taking away from the delicious flavored usually found in Benedict's. On the other hand the traditional stole the show and was the winner with a creamy hollandaise sauce and the English muffin toasted perfectly.

The Traditional Eggs Benedict

If you like pork and eggs the Porchetta is definitely the right choice. Just the right amount of crisp and a spice on the end to tingle your tastebuds. For those who like a little extra kick for their boozy brunch.

I have a sweet tooth-- if you couldn't tell from the pastry cart-- so naturally we have to order one sweet treat. In this case we ordered the Dutch Baby, crunch along the edge with an ooey gooey center this pancake-like dish comes sizzling hot in a skillet filled with blueberries and butter. Yum.

The last two dishes ordered were sandwiches. One was a fried chicken sandwich where we chose to add a fried egg to the already delicious entree, paired with a kale salad, it was quite the unique start. Now we love a traditional breakfast burger and we decided to keep the egg theme going. Bite into your sausage burger and experience the taste of a warm, egg with avocado, bacon, and potatoes you got yourself a happy table.

Overall, we enjoyed The Osprey Tavern. The atmosphere and service added that much extra to the food, and of course, our favorite bottomless mimosa brunches are always successful. And really, who doesn't love a perfectly lit table, crafted for the best brunch photos?
